Where to go in North East on friday nights?

basically what the title says. got my friday nights off of work again and im looking for places to go. used to go to promise all the time, but since that's dead as a dodo, im not sure what to do with myself. looking for a trance night if possible, but any EDM would do. closer to newcastle the better!
suggestions?

There's Twisted on a Wednesday night on at Liquid in Big Market, that's the only one I know of at the minute. The Sugarshack has just started up again, and Armin's scheduled to play later this year. 2ManyDJ's are also booked to be playing so that'll be a class night.
There's quite a few housey nights that I know of in Newcastle. Shindig, Habit (James Holden's playing there 10th Feb). There's a techno night at WHQ once a month. Just hardly any trance. |

excellent stuff. Good to see they are getting it back on track and finally with a consistent late license.

Sorry about the delay on this hehe.
With Middlesbrough being house orrientated ... they're booking more house dj's than trance.

promise is now in sunderland. there is supposed to be a couple of nights springing up in newcastle, we'll see what happens soon enough!

We have Desyn Masiello back playing a special 4 hour set on Good Friday at The Cosmic Ballroom. Great new venue on Stowell Street, Newcastle with one of the most exciting DJ's in the world at the minute.
As of June we will be first Friday of the month, with some nice line ups coming up.
