Santiago Nino & Shawn Mitiska - Sympolce

Anyone heard this?

Unfortunatly, what sounds like it could've been a great kickback to the older emotional void trance rarely possessed in recent years, it's killed by clutter, over compression, and over filtering.

The mix sounds as if it never gets a chance to breath.

Nino mixing trance w/ tech here is heard, and therefor the clutter could've been warented, but to me it's not done right. This could've been a much better song is all im trying to say.

Just venting.

It has been absolutely killing it on the dance floor for me for about a year now.

The B side, Driving Miles though is a beauty. I love the melodies and it floats somewhere between peak prog trance and mellow.. wickedly weird tune.

;)

i really enjoy both of the tracks, really good/unusual combination of sounds, what you call clutter is music to my ears :)

good stuff here, really impressed with mitiska these days.

There's no problem with Sympolce or Driving Miles. Both are quality :)
AMP
Great tunes, period.

Never listened.

*hint: samples plz...*

santiago does tend to compress his tracks too much.. his Language remix is a good example. it sounds terrible.. the kick is eating away all of the other elements.

Nothing special indeed.

You definitely killed me with that track back in September man. I asked Shawn about it and he said it was supposed to be released in October but I still haven't seen it around.

edit: nevermind, saw that it was finally released.

Yeah, but I feel like that's just the sound he's going for, because it's present in almost all of his productions/remixes.

Thanks for all the kind and honest responses, samples are posted on my website at:

as well on Somatic Sense's website:

As for release date promo's are out now on 4djsonly.com (www.4djsonly.com) and the official release I believe is February 2006. Santiago and myself both tried to come up with something a bit different from the typical sound in progressive trance with Sympolce and hope you guys enjoy this release!
