oh and for the record, all of the info given in that thread was completely made up and/or extremely exaggerated. craig and i are fine (and so is our sex life) and i got over that nubiles the next day...i was just feeling insecure about it at first, but i'm over it and there is absolutely no trouble in paradise.

No, not just any idiot could have pulled this off. Only an idiot who has spent years contributing to their character image before thousands of people, garnering the somewhat tentative trust of these people, then making some of them care enough to the point of sympathy for real-life events. Not just anyone could have pulled this off in the way that she did. The *only* reason this had the effect that it did was because people let themselves care about Slylee, which was, apparently, a big mistake.
Most who honestly did not give a (<--) were immune to the effects of the thread. Though I must admit that the proposition of someone getting dumped because they disclosed personal information over a message board for all to see was sort of funny. Now I'm kind of regretful that social decorum prohibited me from laughing at you in your thread, as I thught you were serious. :(
I kind of find humour in the fact that you would so bluntly state that if people took it seriously and fail to see the humour in it now, they are, quite obviously, NOT your friends. Kind of makes you wonder why people even bother to trust and to care and to even communicate with you at all anymore. Oh well, I guess if you're 100% sure of who your friends are... |

for those of you who enjoyed it, i'm glad i made you laugh:) that was my honest to god intention and i'm sure those of you who really know me, realize that.
i actually thought of another prank before this one. ygrene and i were going to pretend that his boss from texas showed him pictures of his daughter (me), and then he was going to post it and say, "isn't that slylee?" and we were going to somehow make everyone think that i was someone's fake account who was using pictures of me from an online source...or something like that. but then we realized it would involve too many people since a lot of you have met me or talked to me on the phone. and also, the punchline was kind of difficult to come up with.
so then i wasn't going to do a prank at all because i wasn't in the mood. but then it hit me about a week ago and i honestly thought most of you would call me out. i didn't think people would believe me because well, it's me! i was just going to bump the nubiles thread and have it start there, but ygrene and moral said i should start a whole new thread completely dissing craig and making it really juicy. so i did that.
i find it funny how i'm the only one who is getting flamed for this joke. you people love to hate me. it's actually really pathetic.
it's also funny how a lot of you always preach about it "just being the net" and how lame it is to take things seriously, but now when it's convenient to flame me, i'm a piece of for actually letting you guys believe i was suffering. i guess you guys feel stupid for being exploited since most of you who expressed that u felt bad for me, usually can't stand me.
and really, i get flamed by you guys all the time...i have put up with more ikng than any of you on here and i take it and laugh. i laugh at your jokes, i laugh at myself. it's a shame you people can't do the same. you all keep saying, "what goes around, comes around" yea no ing . this what all you lame ass ******s get for being dicks to me all year round. none of you really know me. the only people on this site who actually like me, are the ones who have either met me, or have talked to me on the phone and they realize i'm just a big goof.

To those of you that found this all to be funny and a good prank I thank you for having a good all around attitude about this. We need to laugh at ourselves every once and a while.
For those of you who were genuinely hurt or upset that we played with your emotions, I'm sorry. None of us thought anyone would be seriously upset. We knew there would be some, especially those who dislike Jamie, that would be pissy about it and flame us for it but we never expected that anyone would actually be upset about it.
Yes we owned you, but it was all in good fun and we shut it down once we noticed that people were actually emotionally invested in the situation. If anything, this experiment shows that the CORe is not in fact dead, there are still lots of great opportunities for this fourm to be entertaining, we just need to try a little. |
