my DVD drive hasn't been working. The green light is on when the disc is in, like it's reading it. But it doesn't auto play, and when I click on the drive's icon in My Computer, the window freezes. The driver is installed, and I did one of those problem solving things and nothing worked.
This is messed up.
If anyone can solve my problem, they will get a prize. |

Chances are you have a f-d up DVD, especially if it was burned. Try using different DVDs, (hopefully factory-made) if that still results in the same problem, your DVD drive is ed. Replacing one is as simple as unplugging 3 cables.
-data
-power
-audio
A retarded monkey could do that.
Have fun. |

ok, im at comps too, but this is simple. right
take side unit off base unit. unscrew the drive from the bay at the top, usually 4 screws. there will be 2 wires in the back of ur current drive. Take them out, remember which way & then put them in the same holes on the new drive. screw it in, side back on, boot up.
if not, we could always hold a seance for it |
