Yes even if its for the Liberals although ill gladly steal your money from you instead if thats what you really want!

Seriously though. Here is why...
- Thousands of soldiers have died for our country alone just so you have the right to decide who will be in charge of this country.
- People in other countries would (and have) literally die for this right. Whole nations are transformed in the hopes of achieving what most of us take for granted
- Politics affects every aspect of your life whether you like it or not from the time you wake up till you go to bed. Whether it's the food you eat, the tax on the food you eat, the cost of the heat for your home, your job, etc etc... politics affects EVERYTHING YOU DO
- some people say "my vote doesnt matter its just one vote" Well yes i will admit that 1 vote is insignificant in the big picture. But how many other people are sitting at home thinking the same thing? What if a million people who all think that way suddenly voted? Then it WOULD make a difference wouldnt it? Taking the time to vote is your way of reversing that mindset.
I just spoke to the returning officer for my riding. She told me the story about how she was in East Timor and a guy rode a donkey 4 hours through the jungle JUST TO REGISTER TO VOTE. Then she told me how a canadian in the last election was pissed off that they moved his poll across the street and he would have to cross to get to it. Kind of makes you think how spoiled we really are. |

let me also add that its because young people dont usually vote that young people are usually ignored.
Do we want old farts telling us how to live? Of course not.... lets make politicians work to earn our vote by voting. Otherwise we are at the mercy of the sandra puppatellos and the george mamolittis of the world. |
