used to be 100% split cue 2 ears on until a few years ago.
now its 99.9% 1 ear cue. Half the time I mix to the main rig instead of using the monitors - yes I know im a freak, but ive just adjusted to it after years of playing in places with monitors or non existant monitors and know how to adjust to the delay quickly now. |

| Oh- i always have my headphones on as follows: L earcup on my right ear. Usually because i like the cable on my right hand side and it usually comes from the L cup |

err.. care to explain your reason for this?
i've never really used the 2 ear method to mix. i use the split cue function (with both cups) to level out both tracks but from there its always one ear. in the house i use one ear with cue and master playing but when i play out i find i have to use just the cue track as not all mixers have a pan feature between cue/master |

at home i usually do all my work in the headphones. -in stereo.
when i go 1 ear, i use the left one for cuing, and listen to the monitor, or rig on the right. sometimes i will match in the headphones, then pull one ear off to compare, and get an idea of what adjustments i will need to make for delay. |
