Chrissi (Echo of Silence) garnered more participants in ID Contest 29 than any previous installment. Her enthusiasm will be a tough act to follow!
I think I struck a good balance with these selections. There are 60 samples to be identified, and none of them have appeared in previous ID contests (at least according to Psy-T's excellent database).
As usual:
Artist - Title (Remix / Version) = 3 points, one for each correct field
except for original mixes, where Artist - Title = 3 points, and one of either field will net you two points.
Answer by PM. You may revise your entry as many times as you wish (within reason).
I have only one special condition in this contest, which is that you must state the full title and remix of #40 in order to receive points for that selection. :D

These samples are ~96.7% legal, so I've hidden my Discogs collection just in case anyone had sneaky ideas for a shortlist.
Contest ends on Friday, February 10th at 2200 GMT. That's 5pm EST, 2pm PST, 11pm CET, 8am Saturday in Oz, etc.

A fair number of techno cuts in there to trip you up, Jason.
So that the Unique ID Scoreboard doesn't get out of control with the first few entries, I'll put that off for two days.

Okay, so we've established that everyone knows 41. Yawn. Boring! Few of the artists in this contest are particularly uncommon, though perhaps the selections are lesser-known productions. I'm certain everyone can get many points with some effort.
Some clues:
- 03 is a mix of an extremely well-known classic, and no one has even gotten the track, much less the version.
- Listen closely to the vocal sample in 04
- 25 is not Depeche Mode |
