| Okay, his production were good at first but after almost every tune he released sounds the same as the others, it gets a little boring/no talent. His mixing skills as a DJ sucks, no offence but he doesn't know how to mix. |

He's evolving and progressing at an incredible pace.

You know I really wish people would stop saying that. McProg is not a new concept. It's been around for years now and it all sounds the same so stop pretending like it's some unexplored realm of dance music. It is as formulaic as every other type of trance. Instead of saw leads and basses it's gated basslines with sin/pulse stabs and a load of delay on them. So please, can everyone stop pretending that these people are innovators... christ |

Yeah.. and then you have to wonder.. has it gotten to the point where all anyone ever does is bitch?
God forbid someone express a positive vibe or idea about a DJ that you hardly understand / listen to. |

if your talking about andy moor, hes pretty easy to understand as a dj lol.. since hes really only a producer playing out, everyone expects to hear his songs, so he has plays them, thats why hes got gigs, and fits them around other typical souding songs.. i like a lot of them and his productions, but hes not up there in terms of djing, and his mixing should be a hell of a lot better, but then he drinks too, so maybe thats why. |

i have got a friend whos opinion i respect who went to see him in mexico city last night. He said he was awesome, lots of energy and played a mixture of electro house right up to the cool end of trance (only 1 of his own productions he could ID). My friend is very picky about djs mixing too, but said it was perfect and he is now amongst his favourite djs, and a really nice guy who had lots of fun. Ill post some tracks he managed to id, but he said there was lots of mashups and good effects too.
Although i have not seen him play i have lots and lots of friends around the world who have over the past year and everytime they have all said the same things about him. I have got around 6 live mixes on my harddrive where people have recorded his gigs too and sent them to me each are mixed and put together by someone who is far from what some of the comments are making out, they are all technically superb....which is 'proof' that some of the negative comments on this thread are based on something other than a fact. Granted he may not be to everybodies taste as no dj is, i totally appreciate this, we cant all like the same music...and although i personally would not go onto a techno website and start abusing techno djs i totally understand that people will always like to join in threads about djs they are not interested in (which they must obviously be interested in otherwise they wouldnt be visiting the thread) and make negative comments.
I dont post very often but thought id make a quick point, and i know there will probably be some more comments after this, but i would also like to hear from more people that have attended recent gigs of his since he has been djing every weekend to hear their views of the event.
Thanks |

You just don't seem to get it.
Those dirty, driving basslines... that's some intense energy, and poorly undervalued in mainstream trance. Listen to any Andy Moor track on a quality pair of speakers or club system.
And he fit his own style into your pre-packaged generic psuedo-uplifting trance formula. What more can you ask for? :wtf:
k, dance already, ******s. |

PVD2005, your agrument is about as factual as paris hilton being a virgin.
so you listened to some 'livesets' at home with your teeny little pc speakers and now can pass judgement about how good andy moor's djing ability is? give me a break.
there are some of us, including myself that have SEEN this mofo live and he played on a big club system and trust me, he was not impressive. i was bored out of my mind and his mixing was nothing to applaud about. if it weren't for my good friend's going away party, i would have left early.
production-wise, i don't see anything innovative from him. re-using the same ideas and cut up voices in all his tunes. i'll give him credit though, he does have some good stuff like tilt - the world doesn't know and maybe new day but honestly, his stuff under andy moor or whiteroom is overated mcprog. |

| I like most of Andy's productions, one of the best producers in the prog trance genre without a doubt, but his dj sets don't go anywhere imo, just sound samey all the way through. I prefer a dj to build up a set and show some variation, but technically he isn't a bad dj so I would go see him just for the experience and to party :D |

lol quite a bit actually.
hes baselines are more or less all the same, i think we've had enough of them and i dont see how they are undervalued
btw we're talkin about him as a dj, not a producer.
listen on a pair of quality speakers or club system? what kinda stupid tip is that.
