May I correct you but George Bush let Osama Bin Ladin be a free man, and
instead attacked Iraq with no clear plan, and now that Iran is getting nuclear weapons ( instead of Iraq - everyone knows that was a lie now )
your man George doesn't know what to do.
I also should correct you in that NO ONE in Canada supports terrorism and that Canada did send troops to Afghanistan after 911. Obviouly that wasn't reported on the U.S. news just like the Canadian elections weren't reported on the NBC late night news last night either.
If another terrorist attack happens in the U.S. it will likely come from extremist muslim fanatics sneaking through the Mexican border each year along with the other 1 million people that illegally cross that border each year. How can you claim Bush is tough on terror when he couldn't secure Americas borders ( since 911 most illegal crossings have been on the Southern one ) in his 4 years in office since 911. Bush has used 911 to manipulate voters and obviously your one of them.
ONE OF BUSHES FAMOUS VERY EXPENSIVE LIES
- Oil will pay for the war in Iraq |

| I think if Hillary wins this upcoming elections, I might try and think about moving to Canada since conservatives are running the country :stongue: . |

I don't think the American Republicans that have responded in this thread, who appear to be blindly supporting the conservative victory in Canada for all the wrong reasons, fully understand the rationale nor the reason behind this "victory". This isn't a victory for Republican values, this is a victory against incumbent corruption and for conservative values ... which makes your celebrations all the more hypocritcal and amusingly ludicrous.
If you DID sympathise with the actual values associated with this conservative victory, you would lead the charge against the corrupt Republican incumbency in congress that was revealed only by the most egregious of violations that the media couldn't possibly ignore.
Similarly you WOULD lead the charge for investigations into this administration's conspicuously habitual behaviour of misappropriating and overpaying tax payer dollars to contracts that the GAO has faulted for inadquate/uncompleted work and fraudulent billing.
Most certainly you WOULD lead the cause against unabashed efforts by this administration to consolidate unlimited power at the federal level. Unless you didn't know, Canadians seem to actually value such conservative values unlike most Republicans.
This brings us to the question that I'm guessing will go unanswered. If you value this conservative victory in Canada, why do you lack the courage, committment, and principle to push for the SAME EXACT agenda in the United States?
I'm only hoping it wasn't because you were an ignorant twat that only supported an agenda because it had the word "conservative" attached to it. |

I haven't read the other posts, but here are my thoughts.
The Conservatives have a minority govt, with the balance of power held by the Bloc Quebecois (I'm lumping the NDP and the Liberals together). This means that they will not be able to implement their social agenda (stop abortion and gay marriage) because the Bloc are from Quebec, a traditionally left-leaning province. They will probably get some anti-corruption legslation through and maybe even that GST cut, but I see another 16 months or so of ineffectual government and then another election. At least the turnout was higher this time! |

Wow.
That's a whole lot of opinion of Canada based on ZERO facts...
At least give them a chance to table something before writing them off... |

I was walking through Jerusalem on Independence day (if any of you have ever been, you know how many thousands of Israelis/Zionists march towards the Western Wall), I remember seeing a family of 5 obviously religious Muslims walk out a door in an alleyway where we were marching through. They walked in the midst of thousands of their alleged enemies with what looked like no fear or regret. They walked not too far from where I was and even as people were chanting pro-Israel songs and rejoicing in a day that Marks Israel’s Establishment, not for a moment did I even see anyone make a comment or sign that 5 Arabs just joined in the direction we were moving.
This moment in my life made me realize one thing for sure. Israelis have something called Morality. It seems as though no matter how much you try and destroy them, they will always forgive you. On the one hand it upsets me that we're too forgiving.... on the other hand I respect it, value it, and see the integrity in the way they live their lives.
I imagined the roles reversed. Some religious Jewish family walking down a narrow alleyway in a crowd of Arabs on "Palestinian" Independence day (or any day for that matter). At the very least they would have been verbally harassed and/or spat on - not to mention a very real possibility of that whole family being lynched!
So HardcoreTrancer, when you sarcastically make remarks implying you wouldn't be accepted in Israel, you make me and many others laugh at your ignorance. Perhaps you should pull Israel’s demographics and study it carefully... don’t be surprised to find Arab leaders in Parliament and thousands of Arab(Muslims) who live in Israel as equal citizens.
Perhaps you should also pull the demographics of how many Jews live in Iran these days (I’m guessing none) versus how many lived there a few decades ago (used to be one of the worlds largest Jewish communities).
With your radical views, don’t be surprised if the only country outside of the Muslim world to accept you with open arms is France. Even they are slowly realizing how much hate and intolerance can breed savages.

On a side note:
Israel anti-missile missile scores another direct hit.
The Black-Sparrow developed by Israel Armament Development Authority (RAFAEL), was demonstrating an Iranian Shihab 3 ballistic missile which has an estimated range of 800 miles and can hit most of Israel’s cities.
The experiment which is the 14th Arrow interceptor test and the ninth test of the complete weapon system has been described by experts as the most complicated interception test carried out by the system so far.
