Hopefully this isn't too inappropriate a topic to post here as I couldn't find anywhere more suitable.
I have a big problem with my PC in that it doesn't work.
I went for a reinstallation of XP, it wasn't successful and is now telling me that setup cannot access the hard disk and therefore cannot install XP at all.
I've taken note of all the info on screen so if anyone thinks they can help but need certain info please ask.
Any help appreciated, as I'm currently using a P3 now and it's friggin' sloooooow

| Did you try reformating the entire drive? |

You will need to remove the partition. The XP disk should do this for you oterwise f disk is a working utility that should do the trick. Also make sure that your BIOS is set to boot on the CD drive the disk is in.
Hopefully its not a hardware issue. Why did the installation not complete? What hardware are you using? Is it XP compatable? There is a lot of information that would be good to have to find the main issue. |

Not sure it'll be a hardware problem, a P3 does accept XP (and vice versa) normally, isn't it?
Best would be to try and fully reformat the drive (no quick format); and also remove the partitions the setup might have made before. This is usually one of the options you have when going through the 'blue screens' before the actual setup. |
