Rumour has it that HDT has officially folded now that Spitty signed a new deal with the "double-S" thanks to a proposal from a much respected business man Sasha, otherwise known as Niveole. HDT is now looking for a new member to fullfill the shoes of a former member Andria, who said after leaving the team "all i want to do is dance my ARSE off but lately HDT have been missing out on some serious ass shaking and Sasha stepped in and made me a deal I couldn't refuse." New auditions for the HDT crew seems to be a week from today when the mastermind behind the decks and the legend of Sensation, Johan Gielen comes to T-dot. |

Wasnt supposed to go out last night. I was damn tired from dancing two nights in a row and had an assignment to work on. But how could I say no to my partner in crime? We got there just before 1am. Wow. The room was packed! Gallery is an extremly popular place to be in on saturday night :D It was nice to see so many TOTA's I havent seen for months!
Went to check out the main room after 2am. It sucked. So i decided to come back to the gallery. Spent another couple hrs there, until me and Andrea realized that we need some more space to move properly! Off we went to the main room again. Mark Oliver was killing it. We were dancing up a storm, as if it was the last party in our lives!
We stayed danced till the end.
OMFG.
4:30 am
me: are we leaving soon?
Andrea: no fkn way!!! (runs and hides!)
6:50 am
me: ok, he's done!
Andrea: no, I'm not leaving! He's gonna drop one more track, believe me!
7:20 am - in the car:
Andrea: I wanna dance more!
oh guys, so many good memories, I wish I had more time to tell you about! but I still have to finish my assignment! lol
sober fun = pure fun!
I loved every second of my last three nights!

for the most part, my review is the same. i like dancing in the gallery better. the floor is perfect. not sticky or anything, and i sorta like the smallness of it. it was too crowded, but i can't complain about the flying limbs, b/c i know i hit several people. the several times i went into the guv in the beginning i was disappointed. it was slow and boring (with the exception of hearing "what else is there"). however, i'm soo glad we went back there for the end of the night. the last 2 hours were gold for me, and once again my signature holds true. trance does feel my soul.
angello, wtf, i kept waiting for you to bring the pizza, but i guess u were tired and need to go home to sleep . next time next time. now show me the pics
roman..god i'm sorry! you were awesome to party with again. i owe you a drink in NYC..and i can't get over what a small world this has turned out to be. say hi to jared for me

Goodtimes in the gallery!
I had an awesome time.
I really liked Deko-ze's set.
Hearing Afro-Left - Leftfield (track from '91 still sounds so FRESH!), Mory Kante - Yeke Yeke (Hardfloor Remix) was nice and Michael knows how to throw those tracks in and make me smile.
TA explosion! - we held down every corner and then some. Some great convos and of course some serious dancing was had.
Moment of the night for me was when ADDY spun this one track - 17 YEAR FLASHBACK! - I FREAKED!!! - I could not make out the name of the record - it was spinning too fast for me to read LOL! but it is a track from 1988/89 - an instrumental Chicago Acid House track - with an arpeggio piano riff (give me a keyboard and I can play it!) - I had it on some tape that I had randomly recorded from "Deadly Headley's all night dance party" back when CFNY 102.1 used to have his awesome dance show from 11:30 until 4-5 in the morning. The tape is looong gone and I never knew the name - but the track was always a favourite of mine. It had mixed into Xavier Gold - You Used to Hold Me, ........it is a haunting piece of house goodness that I hadn't thought about in YEARS and when Addy dropped it I almost cried with such intense memory flooding.
In my attic bedroom - tinfoil and cable twisted around the window - 2 hours from Toronto (small town boy) - I was finally able to get CFNY 102.1 (and another station in Buffalo) but not until late evenings and HOLY - when the static cleared and the beats came through - I FELL IN LOVE - with those house music sounds. That week - I went to K-Mart and bought 20 blank tapes and taped it every night for months. That and the Brave New Waves Show (hosted by Brent Bambury).
That audio tape recording had been chewed by my player twice and I fixed it with scotch tape - this tape is what started a new direction in my taste in music. I fell asleep and when I woke up this tape had recorded - Frankie Knuckles - Tears, Ten City - Thats the Way Love Is, Raze - Break for Love, Todd Terry - Can You Party, Xavier Gold - You Used to Hold Me and other tracks including that track ADDY spun - I MUST FIND IT/TRACK IT DOWN!!!
My subconscious had been blown open musically and I had an awesome time with my 3 groups of friends.

Just reading through and wanna say that I really miss partying with u guys...
