Somewhere inbetween progressive house, minimal electro and big room funkiness is where the new Dumb release is at.
Featuring four hot tracks by four fresh Swedish producers, 'We Are Dumb' is already getting plays and props from people like Axwell and The Flash Brothers!
Juha Nikumaa a k a JdotP is one of Stockholm's top djs. 'Sharing Is Caring' is his first proper production - and what a brilliant kick-off of a career! Layer upon layer of synth arpeggios and cleverly crafted funky beats makes this great prog house / electro crossover.
Newcomer Kristoffer Zaar has only recently started producing house music. Just like his debut release, 'Instant Insanity Drugs' on Ozgur Can & Stian Klo's Furry imprint, 'In Vocal Need' is as minimal as it is melodic - and full of twists and tricks to keep it interesting all the way!
Producer and full-time dj Killswitch Rocker, better known as Staf (real name Staffan Thorsell) now lives in Switzerland. As part of the MoD crew he has released a number of soulful/funky 12s and remixes on various labels, such as Soulfuric and Look At You. His 'Untitled Rocker' is as funky as any of his past productions, but with a newfound techy edge that will lock the dancefloor in the groove!
Thomas Jaldemark is the founder of world famous netlabel Thinner. Having taken the label's distinct sound as far as he wanted, he soon moved on to greater (and funkier!) things - like his acclaimed 12" on Lasergun records, titled 'Primitive Fun'. The EP track 'Sinnsykt' is minimal, melodic and slightly more accessible than his previous output. Enjoy!
