Shoutcasting

Hey all,
I've been trying to do shoutcasting through the turntable mixer and been having a horrible time getting it to work. I do have a wire with L/R -> digital audio going into the sound card from the mixer. I have the DSP plugin for winamp as well as the shoutcasting software installed. Shoutcasting regular tracks (wavs & mp3s) seem to work fine from the hard drive, but the line in is giving me a headache. It shows that I have "bytes sent" and then disconnects with the error message "No source stream detected" or something of that sort. Are there any settings I need to adjust?
PS. I do have the recording and line in for the sound card configured and turned up in the control panel.
Any help will be greatly appreciated :)

| make sure you are not firewalled ... my roommate and i have cable modem and we have router and hub and b/c of the firewall we cant use shoutcast to broadcast anything... try using studio365 ... its a pretty good broadcasting tool. |

In WinAMP, you have to hit Ctrl-L and then type
linerec://
That will tell WinAMP to play (and send through the ShoutCAST plugin) whatever comes in through the Line In on your soundcard |

| Try plugging your mixer into the standard (analogue) Line In instead of digital. The setup you have right now will NOT work unless you have a digital out from your mixer (The only mixer that has that right now is the new Tascam X9). |
