so the miners got stuck... almost all died. sad.
but ffs now everytime i see the news all i hear is "miners could be saved with this....~!!" "miners, are they rly safe?!" "miners miners MINERS MINERS!!!!"

| thats why i filter out the news i care about, and the news i do. if its on cnn, i change the channel, but i get most of my news from the internet, so i dont have to read anything im not interested in. |

btw, there's very similar debate about a fire in Russia in which 9 people died jumping out of the windows (mostly women in their 20s) on 16th of january (basically, because of numerous firesafety rules being broken or not followed and because firefighters didn't know what the they were doing). some women faought till the last moment, hanging out of windows for 10-20 minutes before letting it go.

i remember like 4 years ago there was this story about this Cuban family who tried to swim to america on a self-made boat, and all but the small boy Elian died. and there was this long-ass debate at whether he should stay in America or be deported back to Cuba. For MONTHS this was all everyone talked about - up to the point where you could throw up. |
