Steve porter mix Compilation

Boston born, world conquering, Steve Porter will release his first ever mix compilation in February. Serving up a slab of fresh Porterhouse with 26 tracks on the menu the album will merge his proficiency in the studio with 9 original tracks and the offerings of his favourite producers.

Expect the usual eclectic range of funked-up house beats, techno and electro twists that Steve selected from over 300 tracks he received:
“I received so many amazing tracks (thank you labels!) and I entertained any and every piece of music. However, I always had the idea in my head that I wanted to keep the project as in-house as possible and ultimately having a sense of family on the album is the concept that won me over.“
The album has a distinctly Boston underground flavour to it, as Steve showcases the talents of his local crew.
Some of these artists include his long-term collaborators; Agent 001 cohort Eli Wilkie, Emjae, and Chris Reavey, as well as emerging artists Bons, Hush, Musky, Aaryn Blain, Chris Micali, Jonathan Hart, and Island 9.

Will this be single or double CD?

Hopefully it'll be single, I'm interested to hear someone properly fitting 26 progressive tracks on one CD..

He was really good at Cielo last Thursday. He was already on at 11:30 when I got there and closed up at 3:30, which was a bit annoying. I don't think he played with an opener at all and started at 10 when the club opened. The set had a lot of the same tracks at the 11-23-05 Talbott Street set from Indianapolis that was posted in the midwest and tracklist forums.

The encore track was The Edgar Winter Group - Free Ride which was a very Porter-esque way to end since I've heard him close with tracks like Dee-Lite - Groove is in the Heart and Eye of the Tiger.

it's not [i]that[/] hard, just remove all those extra breakdowns, 5minute builds and everything and maybe if the dj actually does his job, like a techno dj would do, it would be work

I know, I know, and I'd be very interested to hear someone pulling it off properly. I have yet to see a prog house mix CD that does.

That's why I mentioned it.
