::: SUNDANCE 2006 :::
Sundance 2006 will once again let us dance with the Aurora Borealis until the sun rises. The students have gathered their forces and will provide you with yet another marvelous event under the northern lights.

Sundance is an annual event that takes place at the University College of Narvik, or Høgskolen i Narvik, now running for it's 10th year of providing the best of house and trance to the masses.
In time, Sundance have only grown, from a small party to promote local DJs, to include names like Jason Cortez, LeFunque, Rydel, Sophie Sugar, Miss Jarea and many more.
This year is no different, the lineup for 2006 speaks for itself :
* Timo FF

Timo is somwhat of a newcomer to the deejaying scene. But he has already played with well established names like DJ Stigma and Luis Molinari, just to mention the most recognizable of the bunch. He started listening to underground techno back in the early 90's when the trance scene was still young. And in the mid 90's he got his first taste of
Hardcore which, in more ways than one, blew his mind away. Growing up with this kind of mental stimulation he soon developed a special kind of taste for techno music which combined regular trance and acid with hardcore. This taste, or should we say hunger, wasn't fully fulfilled until the change of the millenium and the birth of hardstyle. And that again
spawned new breeds of hardtrance which fit Timo like a glove.
Timo started playing around with mixing music in the late mid 90's and his skills grew exponentially in the years to come. In the year 2001 he got a resident gig in Narvik at the very same place which arranges the Sundance party and got to play Sundace in 2003. He also got gigs at other local events which demanded the skills he posessed and slowly he became the default choice for any club arrangers in the area. With his first computer way back in the early 90's he found ways to produce his own music which has dominated his life lately. With Sundance 2006 he's back as a DJ after a long hiatus. With new found knowledge about techno music he's back and will play a blend of hardtrance, hardstyle and his own-produced take on those styles. The Sundance crowd can expect big hard-hitting kickdrums followed up by majestic melodies.

* Jason Cortez

Scotland's number one DJ? Well having played alongside Tiesto, Mauro Picotto, Lisa Lashes, Judge Jules, Marco V, Scot Project, Anne Savage,
Fergie and many more in 2005 you'd be hard pushed to find amore in demand DJ in Scotland. Elsewhere, high profile gigs for Frantic, Extreme Euphoria, Tidy, Wildchild, Sundissential & Innovate as well as International bookings in Ibiza & Norway have brought the name Jason Cortez to a wider audience. Not content with just spinning tracks, production wise Jason Cortez has been at the fore front of the hard-trance & dance scene over the past 12 months. With a series of anthems including 'Listen To Me', 'God' & 'In My Dreams', his productions have found favour with stars such as Anne Savage, Nick Sentience, James Lawson, Phil Reynolds & many more. His work has also featured on some of the biggest hard-dance compilations around, including Tidy Extreme Euphoria and both Hard Dance Republic CD's.
His crowd pleasing skills have also been received well at some of Britain’s best club nights & tours, including Inside Out, Goodgreef, Promise, Storm, Sundissential, Wildchild & Frantic. He has played alongside the biggest names in the scene including, Tiesto, Mauro Picotto, Judge Jules, Fergie, Lisa Lashes, Anne Savage, Eddie Halliwell, Yoji Biomehanika, JFK, The Tidy Boys, BK, Nick Sentience, Rob Tissera, Amber D, Don Diablo, Hennes & Cold, Adam Sheridan, Justin Bourne, Phil Reynolds, Paul Maddox, Ingo, Charlotte Birch and many more. His entertaining sets never fail to please, playing varied styles to best suit the clubs and crowds, from tuff trance and techno tinged house right through to dance-floor friendly hard-dance and uplifting hard-house, cutting, scratching and dropping accapella’s along the way. Blazing a trail of glory across the dark skies of Scotland’s club-scene, the passion and enthusiasm that he brings to the decks, where ever he plays, is infectious, never failing in his desire to make people dance.
* LeFunque

Finally, we have LeFunque who is starting to be a very familiar face at norwegian harddance events, and has this year played alongside names like amongst others Paul Maddox, JP&Jukesy, Tara Reynolds, Jason Cortez and Klubbheads. In late 2005 he played one of Norways biggest indoor dance events, 'One Floor From Heaven', with 1100 people in. and also caused mayhem in the streets of Oslo-central from a moving fleet for Norways biggest annual danceevent ; The Summerparade with about 30,000 people attending. He also runs his own weekly radio-show
called 'hardtrance domination' on one of the biggest international webradios ; www.puredj.com. The record-bags he brings to his gigs are always filled with the latest releases and promos as he always strives to pioneer tracks at his gigs. Close connections in the UK harddance scene also allow him to play new and upcoming tracks straight from some top producers off CD-R hot from the studios, so expect pretty upfront stuff.
LeFunque has a burning desire for playing music and making clubbing-nights memorable. A unique, and always powerful track-selection, along with his close-to-flawless and characteristic way of mixing, leaves the crowds screaming for more. LeFunques hard and fast style shows a display of NRG and groove, his delivery is distinctive and energetic which gains an amazing command over his crowds, and leads them the way into his domain of U.K Hardtrance.
This year the project "Adrenaline Dept." was put to life, and LeFunque and partner in crime, Janestic, already has productions played throughout UK by some of the top jocks and releases pending on amongst other MUD Records where they join the ranks of producers like Ingo, Chris Hoff and Colin Barratt.
