That's because salmonella poisoning isn't much of a concern for homeless people. I'm sure they are willing to take risks in order to satisfy their hunger.

Uncooked chicken generally doesn't smell all that delicious.

A while ago I ate a chicken burger that tasted funny. A few hours later I started violently vomiting. Another 2 hours later I started vomiting out my mouth & vomiting out my arse at the same time. fun times. :tongue2

Expiration dates arent exact. Do you think when they are homogenizing milk and getting the milk from the cows that the cows go... "mmmmmmmmmmmooooooo June 28th"?

Youre safe about a week after the expiration date, milk is easy to detect cause it smells.

i have eaten some food pre-katrina ( i don't know if it escaped the mold that was growing in my house, but i still ate it ) and i'm still alive.
