Tomorrow night! :)

Although I am a perpetual house and techno head, events at State are always fun.

Hell - the Toronto TAs are heading down for this!

van Dyk DEFINITELY loved it.....This 2am law you guys have tho MUST be dealt with....

Gotta say the State is an AMAZING venue for these kinda nights:
GREAT sound, upscale, and not overcrowded. 10/10 on the venue.

Had to cut it short tho without Masonic - will be back Music Fest weekend ------> Cattaneo then Armin?!?!

I thought Granholm passed the law making that whole 2am thing the past? Does anyone know the current status of that law? I remember the article saying something about applying for a license that would allow venues to stay open until 4 for these types of things. Logically, the bar would shut down at 2 still, but like other big cities like Chicago, the dancing can keep on until 4. Is that how the Masonic thing is made possible or is that some loophole (no liquor license maybe?)?

Anyways....I have a video and as soon as I find somewhere to host it, I will provide a link. Its 2 minutes long and encompasses one of the best buildups of the pVd set. I thought it was sweet.

As for my review of the night. I would like to thank the promoters who ever you are, the people that made this possible despite all the cancelation and thursday night talk. I would also like to thank all the people that stayed there until the very end, the people that make these things happen in another way. I didn't get let into the club early enough to see KT or much of Bonham's set. I really dislike the X-men, but they do provide good secuirty so whatever.

So...Bonham dropped "acid in my fridge!" NICE! I called that song out right away and it started off the party in the best way possible. pVd's set was deffinitely not a let down. I couldn't recognize that many of the songs. The classics of course, like Crush, For an Angel, and Time of Our Lives, were the ones I can name. I really enjoyed the last half hour, I felt like the sound guys waited until then to maintain the max volume. His mixes were really good at that point too. Like the speaker at the end said, "Not bad for a Thursday Night in the D!" I hope everyone from out of town had a good time, I did.

Looking towards the future, bring on G&D!

I went to this show and it was absolutely amazing! I was lucky enough to be in the front most of the time and I could almost touch Paul! I was just wondering if this show was recorded and could the set be downloaded from anywhere? Thanks!

P.S. First post!
