I live around Toronto, but I have never been.
I don't know, I guess I just don't like being in one place where there are so many people.
And, I don't like the drug scene. I hate them, and I know that they are rampant at raves, so I stay away.
But I listen to trance because I want to hear it. I listen because it is so good.
I don't need to go to a club, pay the entry fee to listen to something that I have better on my computer.
Of course, though, I wouldn't mind going once in a while, but I don't have any friends that listen to this.
Although at my college there was a guy in my program that was going to see PvD, but I had to work that day. |

well i think that if you have a bad clubbing experience, u will naturally consider clubbing to be not that great.. but if you actually go to a good one.. then u might decide otherwise.. i'm not trying to be obnoxious or whatever, but i think that the scene in the US and Canada is pretty poor compared to Holland, England, Germany and even places like mallorca....
if ya went to Innercity 12-30-00.. and was there for the pvd set.. u would probably never want to leave.. because that set was truly phenomenal in my eyes..
and Freedom @ Bagleys in London a year or 2 ago had an atmosphere incomparable for a venue in london..
just examples like that make me wanna go again..
but yea.. n e way.. |

i've never been clubbing either.. but that's because i'm not 18 yet. i could go to the all-age raves and stuff, but again nobody to go with. i guess that's a problem in most cases for most people. i wouldn't wanna go alone either. plus i've got no income (no job) so even $30 tickets are considered pretty pricey for me. oh yea, and i've gotta pretty much lie to my parents and say I'm gonna go spend the night at a friend's house right? :)
so yea, i've never been clubbing/raving. ur not alone hehe ;) |

| I'm in NYC and the clubs there are horrible...bunch of drugged out newbies and people who dont even like the music..Twilo being the exception at times, although Limelight is making a comeback. Raves are the way to go :) |

OK seriously you guys are all losers.
I Did not know Trance music existed, before i went to an After hours club with my friends. I remember the Club... it was Called Spin Cat... I remember the first time i took E there, and ... i feel inlove with the music on the spot, and ever since i've been going to clubs, after hours and everything else that has to do with trance, and general clubbing music! |

Well, i've never been to a rave or such, been to some clubs that played techno-trance and it was fun, would've been a lot funner if i had went with friends that are into techno but don't have any friends that enjoy trance like i do but anyways, i'll plan on going to a rave sometime this spring... if i find some people to go with

Me and my pa went clubin last weekend. I wacked 3 seals...
but seriously,
I like 2 club but its more about the people ur with than the music. If u want to dance with some cute chicks and have fun with your friends there is room 4 both club and rave. Only one would get boring. |

I think its a shame that all u folks who've never been clubbing havent, simply because the clubbing/raving aspect of it is all part of the trance phenomena and experiance. Ye the music is what we go for but to me the atmosphere in Gatecrasher or Gods Kitchen or some other half decent is as big a part of it as the music!
U living in portsmouth is a bit of a bitch, the only decent clubz i know of near there are in bristol and london... oh and who was it said london was big on clubbing? True, but not really trance type clubz most of em... a lot of garage, hip-hop & breakbeat clubz in london, it has to be said though sheffield is the trance clubbing capital of the UK! either sheff or birmingham anyway...
Its true, if you take a bunch of trance haters to a big and good club, they'll be back for more. Music is one of the drugz used...
Peace out fellow trancEaddicts |

First line: a bit harsh, a lot of ppl in here dont live within 5 miles of a half decent club like u and i, so there isnt much chance of getting out enuff :)
But my main comment is that if you want a true clubbin experiance, dont give up when the DJ stops at 6/8am... get your hinds to an after-hours club... example of a Sheffield weekend (if youre barmy enough...):
Friday night - Niche til 6am then on to Area 51 until 2pm then dont sleep coz theres no point...
Saturday night - Gatecrasher until 6am (sometimes later when jules refuses to leave the dex) then onto Insomniakz... Insomniakz is the most crazy place ever, it feels really naughty bangin away to the hardest of hard house at 10am on a sunday morning hehehe...

I'm getting the impression that you're pretty proud about your experiences with E huh?
I've read two of your posts now and they both mention the drug.
Guess we should all clap for you now? |

I agree Dwingo i hate these people who come on here to boast about taking E's and stuff. Ok you take it, but there is no need to make a point of highlighting te fact unless its related to what you are saying. It just seems very childish. (well jst my opinion) In regards to the topic i honestly do feel that it is a shame that alot of you have never been clubbing, because it is clubs that the music we all love, really comes to life and means so much more. I have to say that me and my c.A. cru mates never thought that we were that lucky to be so close to a number of clubs, but i guess we are lucky to be able to go out every week to hear trance.Clubs aren't exactly Gatecrasher but we do have some good residents and do get good residents every so often, Judge Jules, Guy Ornadel, Tiesto ...
