Elias takes the place of Prucha for the Czechs

Some of the players who are in the northeast US are currently snowed in. Let's hope they make it to Torino in time. It would be interesting if they don't.

We're finally getting the chance to see some quality hockey tomorrow when the men steps into the tournament.

, the times of these games in North America are whacked. The gold medal game is at 9am eastern standard time? Jesus....only a load of beers and blow are going to keep me partying for that one, assuming Canada makes it.

I'm only really intersted in hockey anyway at these games, given that most other Canadian athletes either try hard but are ....or are good but choke miserably (Wotherspoon anybody!?)

Sweden crushed Kazakhstan, 7-2 even though they played like and one goal was pure unluckyness for Christian Bäckman when he was going to skate upwards..

Still a great win though, even though some may be unhappy with the way Sweden played. But they did what they were supposed too..

Italy vs. Canada is going to be hilarious :haha:

Canada had a slow start, but went on beat Italy, 7-2

Most of the NHL-players is probably tired after the trip to Europe from North America.

We'll probably see better icehockey in a couple of matches when they've recovered.

Hasek was injured in CZE-GER game
That will hurt the Czechs a lot if he's out for the rest of the competition

King Ecnal
