Trance vs House

The feeling I get is that more people like the trance genre rather than the house genre. The Top100DJ list shows this trend, and searching on Discogs also indicates such a trend (house variety getting lower ratings than trance, generally)
So just wondering how true is the fact that trance is better than house? It's abit silly asking this in a forum with the name "Tranceaddicts" :D but I'm sure you guys have some things good to say about house music too. |

| I voted for trance. House I could never get into. There's a lot of edm genres that I like more than house. |

| Very hard to decide for me... I like trance but lastly i've been more into house, then i went back to trance, so as you see i balance between those two genres... voted for trance eventually. |
