Converting my basement into a studio/dancefloor...

Like the title says i'm turning my basement into a studio/dancefloor. I've been using it for storage but i noticed recently that with the 8" concrete slab floor even a mediocre sound system sounds fantasic. So, i'm going to clean the place out and start moving all my audio equiptment down there.
I want to paint the slab(floor) which is about 14X22 and find some decent lighting to give it a nice feel. Problem is i don't have a clue what type of lighting to get or what color to paint the floor. Any suggestions? By the way i'll be using standard light sockets for the main lighting and an American DJ Vertigo(along with a couple lasers) when the music is cranked.
Any suggestions are appreciated. |

| Personally I'd convert it in to a gym, but your idea sounds pretty damn cool as well. With the floors I'd maybe have some sort of mural painted on by a friend at first. Then as time progresses see how you feel about it... |
