| mine works fine. i remember there being a recall on the batteries about a year ago though because they were getting too hot. and i know that if you use a different charger than the one it came with, you sometimes have problems. |

Just thinkin if you strip both wires then plug it into the mains then touch it against the internal components, it would have to be too much for the internals, right? ie fry them.
I don't know, I am no electronics wiz. 110 Volts US, 240 Volts Oz.
Just make sure your not the 'connection':stongue:
Don't know if it would work, and don't know if it would be covered anyway. I would not do it to my pc, but hey up to you.
Disclaimer: I take no responsibility for any misfortunes you may suffer.... bzzzzz |

It mentions a loud fan... Mine is quieter than all hell; the only time it makes any noise is when I use a CD or DVD.
Does mine get hot? Yes, but only on the bottom when I use it. Typically, I make sure that it's off if I wont be near it for extended periods of time because I just don't trust laptops for that reason it in the first place. |

Fair point, but they shouldn't really get hot should they, I mean not beyond an acceptable level. Feel sorry for the guys hassle with Apple tho. |
