midi makes ableton djing a whoollllle lot easier visuals not so sure about

This mixer is primarily designed with Ableton (as well as other programs similar to it) in mind. A conventional vinyl or CD DJ should NOT buy this mixer because all the extra features are of no use to you unless you use a sampler.

yes but if you DJ with Ableton its ideal and from what Ive seen on TA alotta TA DJs are startin to fool around with Ableton...although this mixer is a dream to all of them(me included) due to the price its cool to talk about it:p

do you have Ableton Live?

I have the 92 - not feeling this one. I don't think it really serves the purpose intended which is better control of digital djing. It would be serving its purpose if it had many more assignable/customizable controls to take advantage of the power of programs such as Ableton Live by applying control where it counts to the user. I could be jumping the gun here on my apathy for this model, but i think the best way to go is to design and build your own midi controller (if you want to get serious about digital DJing) until something more suitable comes along. IMO: Thumbs down, waste of money, obsoletion pending pronto.

We already talked about this, and once again I agree fully with this guy. MORE KNOBS, MORE BUTTONS MORE FADERS!!!!

I need to build my own :D

Nope no Ableton, but its something I might consider investing in when I have the money, instead of investing in CDJs.
