Anyone suffer from Chronic Sinusitus like myself? I've seen the doctor countless times regarding this, and my symptoms include:

- Fever at times (Upwards of 100F)
- Fatigue
- Severe Congestion
- Yellow/Green Mucus
- Facial Pressure, esp. around eyes
- Headaches
- Sore Throat

I've been prescribed antibiotics (z-back, amoxic, others) countless times, and the only good solution I've found thus far is sniffing salt water solution, sitting in a steaming shower for 15 min per day, and taking decongestants like Sudafed.

Any other ways of dealing with this for people suffering from this as well? in allergies

I don't have that, but my sinuses to give me . When I was a kid they wouldn't drain so I had to put tubes in them. A couple years back I had Strep Throat/Flu/Ear Infection simultaneously, which produced scar tissue in my ears. Now my sinuses wont drain right, so if I don't do anything about it they clog up to the point where I get nasty sinus headaches (especially pain under my eyes and around my nose), it hurts to hear any sound, and it sounds like I'm on a plane.

The doctor prescribed medication which works, but I'd much rather go back and get the scar tissue out than take the spray .

me. probably from all the coke i used to snort, but i remember having sinus issues before my habit...it only got worse with the coke and even though i don't do it any more, i'm still always congested and mucusey:wtf:

oh yea i went to a hockey game on friday with my boyfriend and my boss hooked us up with some ridiculous VIP tickets where u get a free buffet and free booze and u can go and get a massage for free or visit the oxygen bar for free. anyway we did the oxygen bar and i did the one that's supposed to help sinuses and it actually cleared me up for a bit. it's probably really trendy and expensive though if you were to actually go there.

I am sick all the time.
Sinuses and allergies, are just an annoyance.

It's the lymphoma that is killing me, lol, pun intended.

I had a friend who did that and it cuaght up to him one day. He woke up and couldnt stop his nose bleed and said he could feel it shooting down his throat like a slit wrist. Went to the E room 4 times before they stopped the bleeding by tapping a vein and gave him Morphien, Adavan and something to ease his stomache. Now he was in a state of flying he said. The Dr was in his face with a tampon like thing and began shoving it down his nose. He couldnt feel a thing but he could hear all this tearing and . It turns out to be 6 inches long and had to wear it around for a week. When they pulled it out he said the pressure from it being pulled out made him puke on the spot. Sorry to get off topic I thought I would share.

My dad has ed up sinus problems. During the summer days he gets these pills that are only local to the area you live in. Why because they are made from Bee pollen extract. This helps boost your imune system to local pollen. Ask your Dr.

Ask you Dr about Beta blockers. I think those are for Migranes only though.

Yea I have chronic sinusities. I get pressure induced migraines when I fly and the problem is exacerbated when I scuba dive. I usually combat it by chugging some sudafed. Supposedly you can get surgery to clear up ...

My question is ... WHY does the human body have sinuses?
They are so pointless!
