White Blood Cells 2 Low

Today was a day :(
I went in to the royal Vik at 7am for my third chemo treatment and after 2 hours of waiting for blood test results they told me my white blood cell count is 2 low. Thats not the worst part! After they tell me I have to wait till 3 to get an injection!:nervous:
I wait in the waiting room for so many freakin hours and finally they call me in for the shot. Then I find out I gotta do a shot tommorow and wensday as well and that I have to pay 560$ for the fakin 3 needles!!! Thats not such big deal cause my company insurance covers 80%. So they ask me are you going to give urself the shots or will u go to the CLSC? So I pretend that im not scared and say ill do it myself. Then the lady shows me with a blown up glove and then it was my turn for real!:nervous: I ended up doing it except for my first attempt to stab myself with the needle which ended with me poking myself cause I was to scared to go fast lol.
Anyways im going back thursday and my white cells better be flowing :whip: |

I would be afraid to give myself a needle to.. I don't think it would be the most pleasant thing to do in the whole world.. especially if you are afraid of them :nervous: (I know I am)

yo,
ask your doctor for some neupogen. it'll regrow neutrophil in four days and probably keep you from getting any sicker. and dude, get some gloves and a mask the next time you're at the vic. if you're neutropenic, you can't risk getting an infection. so my other big suggerstion is purell hand sanitizer, all the time, everywhere. this is not a joke. how much longer is your treatment? anyway, paix and if you ever need any help, send me an email through my profile. lates. |

also, if it is neupogen that you just got, there are reimbursement/cost reduction programs for peeps with little income. if there's a social worker or pivot nurse at the hospital, you should ask them or i can get you some information about it if you don't already have it. anyway, god speed, little one.

The stuff I got is neupogen and I called few places today and now I only gotta pay 14$ instead of 567$.
