So i watched this the other day could not believe what these cute lil birds in tuxedos (that cant fly) do for a living. If you havent watched this documentary i HIGHLY RECOMMEND it. it will have you awwwwing throughout the entire film and it will also have you practically in tears. worst part of the documentary is when the female penguins encounter the SEAL SHARK  :(

oh, and as a bonus, the narrator is MORGAN FREEMAN :)

(p.s. grrrrrrrrrrrrrrr if this was posted already)

I like penguins, but Morgan Freeman once inappropriately touched me in an airport.*

^^ That's what I think of penguins! They CANNOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES be trusted!

And for HEAVEN'S SAKE DO NOT let Lisa get near them... uhm... because if they're anything like dolphins... ... ...

Just saw it a few weeks back. Incredible.

I also just saw a study which suggested that old people start walking like pengiuns(waddling) in order to improve their balance, and decrease the chances of them falling.:haha:

oh my god i love this movie! i watched it on the weekend, and when it first started i thought it would be really ty, but boy was i wrong. i love penguins even more then i did before watching this movie.

if you all love penguins so much (and other ocean life) you should download the 8 part mini-series, called the "Blue Planet"

its a BBC special series, which covers a different part of the ocean in each episode. Its really good, and covers penguins in the episode "the frozen seas"

i highly recommend it.

plus its narrated by david David Attenborough, who, IMO, is WAY better than morgan freeman.

I thought the movie sucked. Here I was in November, drinking Mimosas, flying business-class on the way to Venezuela for the weekend to see Sandra Collins and some beach time, and they start playing this documentary. Fortunately the liquor was free and flowed freely.

I thought the movie was great! It's amazing the instincts they (and all other animals) have to be able to survive. I couldn't belive the lengths penguins go through just to give birth to another penguin. Anyway, it's a really cute movie and helps you appreciate wild life so much more.

The BBC documentaries simms327 suggested are also fantastic and go into a little more detail.

I always randomly catch nature/animal shows on TVO or Discovery and they're great to watch!

The funny thing for me, was watching this movie while looking over and seeing my plump and well groomed cat, passed out sleeping like a king on his own chair and saying, "you don't know just how good you've got it buster".

.....he just barely opened his eyes, yawned and turned his back to me LOL

p.s. - would NOT want to be a penguin.
