wow i geuss i was just begging for some insulting posts :D
i dont ing care, so what if ellens lesbian, and her comedy is not dry, its not the best but its a good fooking talk show, more interesting than oprah, and chappele, again, because i saw enuff of his episodes and theyre simply not funny, just sad...
and u know the purple teletubby is gay too? so didnt all of u kids watch that when you were small?
anyways call me what u want, my opinion stays

I also think Dave Chapelle is not as good as the hype says he is.
Sure, he's got his moments, but I just don't find him that funny. |

I don't even think his greatest skill was comedy(for his show). I laughed my ass off at every episode yes, but there were more lessons than jokes.
He (along with a few other black comedians) are really trying to show the problems with 'black america' or urban culture as a whole. The pitfalls, the stereotypes, the hype. He makes really good points, but you have to get past the slap stick comedy in order to actually see it. Like all good comedians, his jokes are supposed to provoke some type of social change. Whether people are listening to the message is another question, but I heard him loud and clear.
It will be nice to finally hear his side of the story. I believe the problems were with money and artistic integrity. I believe that comedy central was very cheap, and was trying to tone down his jokes. I got this idea from listening to Howard Stern on 'The Daily Show',as they were both saying how intrusive Comedy Central was, and how they were always trying to pinch every penny. |
