so i just returned my creative zen micro for the 3rd time this month and got fed up with it and took my money back. (for all those that own one get rid of it asap) anyways. what do u people recomend as a good mp3 player? so far best and highest quality i've seen out there is the sony 2 gig flash drive. ipods seem to be a serioius rip off. and all the hard drive players are crashing.
hmmm. what should i go with? |

Just wondering why you returned it? I suggested it to a friend, and he could not be happier.
I always suggest Creative products because of the sound quality. |

| i love my mini disc player but the only problem with them is moving parts so it can be easy to break and lots of mini discs but i've had no complaints. |

Too bad they discontinued the iPod Mini... I bought a few weeks before the Nano came out and although I felt like I missed out - I'm glad i got the mini. It's sturdy and haven't had any problems with it. Battery life is good. The student discount online helps with the price.
Ebay is a good place to look. Bought my first MP3/Flash drive 512 mb and worked great until I need more space and thus, opted for the Mini.
Good luck... seems this kind of stuff is trial and error and personal preference. |

The new revisions of the iPod Nano are great, no scratches and no random lockups.
They're not a ripoff. You get what you pay for. |

Haven't tried it as I don't own a Nano (yet), but it's what I use with my iPod now.
iTunes sucks balls for absolutely everything. |

my zen kept freezing up on me. batter life was garbage. i blew a head phone on my 2nd one. it wouldn't communicate properly with my comptuers. like it was a nice player. great features and all that when it worked properly. but i just got fed up with them.
i wish i got an ipod mini. there is one for sale at future shop but its pink grrrrrr. lol. and the nano just seems a bit of a rip off. i mean 249 for 2 gigs? thats the same price as my zen was and it was 6 gigs. |

In regards to that, its solid state memory vs hard drive. The zen has a hardrive so thats why they can offer you more space.
Plus i think the 4gig nano is only $300, good deal in my opinion, and i hate iPods. |
