nero 6.something, works like a charm like every other version of nero i've had. before that i used some crap i don't even remember, but i do remember it was a horrible program and usually ed everything up.
the problems you're having with nero sound really weird to me as nero is usually thought of as a pretty good program for burning. maybe they screwed up bad on the new version then! :wtf: |

| are there differences in cd quality between some of these different cd burning software? Like, does a cd burned with Nero have better sound quality than a cd burned in iTunes? |

| i'm using nero, with the option of normailze tracks enabled and i do have a problem with it. i play my songs and unless the mp3 is f...ed up i don't see a problem. although recently i found one song that does have the scratches onto the cd, but then again the song is also very badly made; so no comlains for me. |

I'm currently using Nero Ultra 7 and I hate it. After wasting almost 20 cd-r's due to an encoding bug that shipped w/ nero 7 (which burns skips into cds made from mp3's), I still notice problems. One of the most annoying for me is that it seems to cut out the first beat of nearly every track, so they start on the 2nd beat in the bar. I'm not sure why it does this or how to prevent it, other than going through and inserting a few seconds of silence into the beggining of every track I have which would be a major pain in the ass. |
I had exactly that problem - absolute pain in the arse!
I'm currently using Sony CD Architect because it's also really good for trackmarking mixes etc |

yeah i (and many many many others from what ive read on a lot of other forums)have had the same problem with nero 7, i uninstalled it and i just use nero 6...
One would think that the people that made Nero 7 would notice that mp3's skip when burning to audio cd, but they prob dont care, as long as they get their $$$.
Then they wonder why kids download software illegally instead of spending hundreds of $$ on buying buggy software:p |
