I want to fill my life with as much music as possible, and trance is my favourite, it stops me thinking, and lets me think about what I want to think about. It does what it is supposed to, its trance music.
If i ever become a millionaire, I want to start up a club / bar / thing..
I'll say what I'd love as a dream club, and I'd love to hear what others have to say.
a place to go that plays great "trance" music, that you can still sit and listen to
where you can go and relax and listen to the music.
have a few drinks
just loud enough that you can still talk over
nice atmosphere, nice lighting, eg: enough lighting that you can read properly, however still
quite dim, to give it a bit more atmosphere, some colored lighting, but not corny.
a place where you can meet similar people that love the music, and for instance, love listening to
a good trance mix on a sunday morning or late into the night.
a kind of atmosphere, where good trance is always playing, and its comfortable to sit on couches or stand if you wish.
has a decent bar, where you can order anything, not just cans.
decent sound system, not necessarily blaring, but good non-distorted solid bass (so its evident but not overpowering)
somewhere where I could go for a few hours after work, but stay all night if I wanted.
I think the type of music played really influences the type of people it attracts, and good trance mixes don't necessarily attract one-hit pickups and sleezy guys.. or girls I spose.
even better, it would be great to have a separate area for people to try out their own tracks, and have a dancefloor
the bartender, you could talk to and get him/her to put on mixes on request.
pretty much a place that plays most of the stuff on trance-addict.
If I were to design it, I would have nice modern (not post-modern) style comfy couches, some teky lighting, eg: el wire running down the side of the bar, light up the drinks behind the bar maybe.
keep the lighting clean, with nice plain walls, eg: not brick, so it gives a uniform light.
a place where I could choose to sit down somewhere, and write down my ideas, or go get a drink and have a chat, or go to the dancefloor when a great dancy mix was on.

a nice club being an oxymoron?
I guess I just want to listen to good music with people around me in a place I find comfortable. |

my dream club would serve McDonalds food and E, and the club would be a big maze where the walls moved around like in the movie CUBE.
and there would be "booby" traps. |

oh, to be unrealistic... then I would have the entire club a sphere, with no gravity, with all the walls of the sphere a big tft screen.
then you could fly around space, or change to a rainforest, or just have great pshycadelic effects.
and as for PLUR, I like normal clubs, but they are everywhere, sometimes I just want somewhere to continuously hang out and for it to not be as intense, so I can go whenever I want.
what did plur stand for again? peace love something??
and yeah, I guess thats me, however I like a bit of both worlds. |
