:conf: :conf: Holy Hell, Yez,Yez, I know this topic has been asked before...But Im seriously getting on my nerves. But, seriously...
Ok,ok,The situation...
Whenever I bring music to school, either Happy-Hardcore(House)or Oakenfold, everyone ask's,"what is that?" and I say it either House, or Trance. But then they say, "Well, isnt that Techno?" And Im like UGHHHHHHH!! NO, House is House, and Trance is Trance, and Techno is it's own as well...So come'on guys help me out? How would I explain to these narrow minded summma bitches, that, yes, there is a difference!!! Ok, well, I say that most if not all Techno, Trance, Drumb n Bass, WHATEVER THE HELL IT IS, is most likely derived from Dance Music,Correct??; And, not techno like everyone thinks right?!!BAHHHH!! PLEASE HELP!!!!:conf: :conf:

| Frankly all my friends know what is trance, what is techno and so on, cause most of them have been in the car with me. HEHEHEHEHE see the way i look at it, is that they can listen to whatever they want, see rock is dying, hip hop has hit it's highest pt......pop is dying. Who cares honestly what ppl think. Techno is my book is loud and bangin, if they want to call it rave or whatever and be close minded about it then let him, why should you care. |

haha i was doing some group work at school today, and we were in an office i frequently use;) for my own purposes...anywayz after the job got done, i played some trance mp3z and i heard "oh, cool, techno"...
i didnt say anything....
i guess techno it is
or "electronic dance music" as PVD once stated:D:D:D

it basically goes by the BPM of the tracks in most cases i think...but Trance is more of a mellow music with high and low points where as techno is more of straight forward 250BPM in your face ...
its hard for peole not into the music to understand the difference unless they listen to all the genres and see for themselves.... |

what do you mean its total crap.....well if i am wrong then why dont you say why i am wrong and not be a flamer and just call my post crap.......atleast i tryed to answer the question
and i have heard MANY people say it goes by the BPM.....so i figured i would repeat that since i agree.....am i wrong doesnt trance have less BPMs then techno?...yes it does...so whats crap.....
be a little more creative and expand on your useless post and tell what you think the answer is....grow up a little |

| When people ask you what the difference is between the genres, just tell them that to understand it they have to listen to all of the elements of the music. That's what got me into trance, once i started paying attention to every element i started to hate the eurodance that i used to listen to, and appreciate music from almost every genre. |

trance is trance ..
techno is usually referred to Eurodance (eg. Daddy Dj, Eiffel 65)
although occasionally comes some smart ass who thinks he knows anything... "HEY , NICE TECHNO !" (when i'm playing Paul van dyk's tracks) |
