WOW - you guys sure weren't giving me the support when I mentioned that I was not let in for Deep Dish last week until I changed my shoes...
I went for Scumfrog and that's the only reason I went. I had GL from Nat for 3 and actually managed to get 2 free passes. The bouncers looked me and my two friends up and down - recognized me from last week (this time I wore blue adidas trainers instead of white) and I got a sort of acceptance - but he looks at my two friends - makes one unzip his coat and mutters "i know we have relaxed the dresscode but man this is going too ing far"... but I guess since we were on Scumfrogs GL we went in ...
Scumfrog was great as usual, Cevin and Matt were very good too. I just stayed near the back all night and enjoyed the space.
Thanks Nat for the GL and the passes for Ultraspin... hope you enjoyed your presents...
I knew TIL would be like this with the "style" code - I was the first person to mention it in the event thread...that club and the bouncers there have always been pricks.
There will be very few DJ's that I will deal with their to go to TIL. |

London has always been like this. Don't think what they're doing now is anything new. For years that club has been about "classiness". I remember on regular weekends, there would be no lines - it was just a mob of people in front trying to get people they knew inside to bring them in.
It seems that they're targeting the snobbier EDM fans (think lines instead of pills) to join their regular clientele. This isn't goanna change. My advice for anyone thinking of going, try and obey the rules they set, or prepare not to get in. I know it sucks, but that's the deal at the moment.
However, for those that got bottle service and has to wait/pay to get in, that is absolutely ridiculous. Last time I was there it was a 2 bottle minimum for a booth, and if you're goanna spend that much money, bypass and no cover for your ENTIRE party should be mandatory. That's the industry standard, highclass club or not. |

| 3 bottle minimum.....cheapest being $175 .....am I the only one that thought that "bottles" would be 40oz not 26oz???? it was the first time we ever went with the vip booth idea....???? |

"classiness" also involves treating patrons with respect, as far as i'm concerned. |

Really glad I went this week. I wanted to scope out what the regular crowd is shaping up like and how the space is on something other than a launch/DD night.
Brad's opening set was really good and even more impressive since he was under the weather. Sure didn't reflect in his set though!
Good call on closing the upstairs, there really weren't enough people to justify having both levels open.
Really liked Cevin Fisher's set. Warm housey grooves, vocally and infectious. Dancefloor was solidly moving to it.
Scumfrog was good (minus the lookatme! opening track) but yep, I had to call it quits by 4. Cause the heavy metal remixes and I just aren't friends.

This is the norm for bottle service everywhere in Toronto. Some places charge even more. |

I can tell you that complaints will be looked into.
I know that club is committed to providing it's patrons with the best possible experience possible. there are definitely some kinks to be worked out and i have all the faith in the world that they will be.

That's pretty much how it is everywhere.. give or take $10. It's my understanding that the tables right beside the booth have a higher minimum purchase as well. |

| Actually, 175 is pretty cheap. Maybe that price will get you something girly, like alize. I know at Lot it's 225 a bottle for vodka, choices being a 40z of Absolut or a 26er of Grey Goose |

Not a very good way of showing this by having horrible door staff on the first and second nights. |

Yeah....we just bought the "cheaper" stuff, Crown, Absoulute, some rum I think lol.....cant really remember but it was all base and all 26'ers......clearly did the trick though.....I actually ended up dropping over 100 bones on Corona :S Good night though! |

| Despite being upset I haven't seen Scumfrog the last few shows. This thread has effectively turned me off TIL. The promoters definetly need to show that a bad staff and policies (ie dresscodes) scare ppl off in this scene. |
