Sorry, misunderstood, thought you were looking for a different format. The other thread just must have been from a while ago.
In any case that reminds me though that Mylo will be here next week! |

Thanks to everyone who gave this a shot... Stay tuned, March Demo coming soon, and yet again, I'm hoping to do something a little bit different, and I'm really hoping you will all dig it!

| Ok, so I finally got my firefox issues sorted and was able to download this beast. Loading it up on the mp3 player now and will hit you back tomorrow to either stroke or annihilate your ego, depending on how this sounds :) |

After listening to a few of Robs mixes and talking with about music numerous times its good to see him move in this direction. While I don’t necessary dig the entire mix I do understand what he is trying to do. The first part of the mix I really dig, its def deep and has some soul to it. So many times I see Dj’s get caught up in playing things they don’t necessary love and end of regretting it in the long run. For the first 26 mins of the mix we get a nice fill of deep tech. It has a little prog feel to it but it’s definitely something refreshing.
The mixing is on point; use of the pioneer 500 is prevalent but not overbearing. The delay in some parts of the mix is off a bit but it’s good to see you trying something instead of just letting the song play out. The flow of the set is very good as well. Some of the tracks play a little too long but what needs to happen is edits. In order to get the message across with a track but not bore. This is something that I would recommend working on, a lot of the tracks in this genre will be about 8 mins long which is way to long. Towards the end of the set I find myself skimming through it because of the style that is played. I cannot stand the electro crap but that is just me.
Overall I am very impressed with the direction you are headed RT. I understand you’re getting to point of not being happy with what you were doing. You do have some work to do however you are def taking a step in the right direction. Just dont loose sight. |

rjt > me
i didn't have any doubt this would be good, but i had to leave that possibility open :p
the flow was one thing that really impressed me. i definitely got into the second half quite a bit more, but it was pretty enjoyable all around. 'girls' is such a killer track, i wouldve liked a higher energy follow up track after that one, but thats just taste i think.
impressive as always mr rjt. |
