I've seen Rebel9 make loads of positive posts on a load of different artists. So just shut the up. You're exactly the type of person I'm talking about- you can't defend your tastes, so you just whine and aggravate any "negativity" there is on TA.

And here we go with the whole negativity vs positivity discussion again.. "BALANCE" is the key word there, but some people can't see that.

I think Arksun is partially right, artists are perfectly entitled to produce whatever the they want to. But in the same way fans are perfectly entitled to praise or criticise whatever they want to. It's just that on occasion some people go a little bit too far and make it personal.

As for Airwave and the quality/lack of quality of his trance, i don't give a .
toffy
Well, please lets not go so far.

Although i cant remember a good comment of a trance track from him atm - and indeed i think he sometimes could give a constructive critic too - i have sometimes discover tracks thanks to him. For example, some of the Digital Blonde new tracks thanks to some samples in one of his posts.

Just please read the post and that's all.

Is not beautiful?:toothless

i don't agree with you there at all

how come such a vague definition as "classic" can not be relative?
washout

Ahh lovely post by arksun. There are some things that must be declared cause this is a BIG CAN OF WORMS that has been opened:

1)Yes arksun may be right to complain about some ppl in here which don't like today's trance but from the other side those ppl (which are many btw) are not complainin without a reason spending hours in a day doing discussions in the forums JUST to accuse a "bland" track. If it was for that they wouldn't bother.

Now what is keep bothering me is the fact that today's trance is not under conspiracy or under anything else as Arksun said but Producers are producing and they are doing their best according to their perception for trance(most of them) .It's just the perception for trance has evolved as has evolved in the past (1996).Also the producers from the gold 1999-2001 went out of the scene or they adjuct their style into the new perception for trance. How the hell anybody could expect anyway the gold 1999-2001 continue without these producers as leaders?
My 3 questions are:

1)What the did happen and trance evoluted so fast into what is now (from the moment it was so big with the old style)?

2)Why producers one after another left the scene or those who remained adjuct their style?

3)WHY TRANCE SCENE SHRINKED when that evolution happened?(and don't tell me it didn't shrinked)

I know i am reopening a big issue which has been discussed A LOT of times before but its been a long i see many opinions and arguements about this situation and nobody asked those 3 basic questions just that

easy one. they didn't want to be associated with the mix of pop music and trance which it clearly evolved into in early 2000.
many of the pioneers of trance which still had some dignity left the trance music. trance was simply not trance any longer.

In 2001 there was a big backlash against anthemic trance. Progressive came in in a big way, which equally upset and delighted clubbers. I think that that brief movement left everyone confused, and this new wave of soft-synth McProg stuff emerged from the pieces.
toffy
I dont agree with that argument. Why trance has to be like it was in its roots? I like the mixtures of styles.

If trance would still be the same as 10 years ago we all be bothered of it.
