View this Thread in Original format dj_mind-x lo this thread doenst belong into the amateur dj forum.. its just something technical i really dont understand when im spinning on the turntables the cable to rec is ok !! not broken but it allways make " CHHHH CH CH CH; SSSSSSS " and i found the problem.. its the DUST on the (i dont know the word.. but that one which make music; not the vinyl..) when im taking the DUST away .. it sounds really good! but just for 3 secs .. then the dust is back on the " that thing i dont know the word ;) ) what can i do here?? maybe the prob is somewhere else but i tryed 3 hours today and i didnt found something bah man.. was happy to spin @ the tables after work now this bull like this it doesnt give me a kick to mix its also not only when im recording.. also over the speakers too.. works for 3-5 secs with no dust on that thing... please somebody help me my last chance here ! greetz -sakin- / -tracid- Piet Dust on the needle? the dust must be coming from somewhere - probably the vinyl? clean off the vinyl? -+DjStylez+- DuDe!!!!! That's classic. That sound of dust coming from the vinyl is what makes it sooo sweet. But if u're looking to make a mix to record and dont' want that few seconds of dust before the music starts...then, press record...but have the volume level at 0...then manually fade the song in to where the beginning of the track starts to play... and u'll get a clean few seconds of dead air.
