| I like it. It's different from things ive heard on TA and i like the dark approach of the ambience at the beginning, nice revised version from the original. Keep it up brotha. |

| I think your bass needs some higher frequencies. Some of the note patterns and progressions just don't match correctly. You have great ideas I think if you just changed a few things though the track could be banging :) |

THE TACTICS OF TAMPA
AS soon as the song begins, to my ears it sounds fresh and very experimental. Snares banging and all. The bassline is that of any generic tune, with the 4 4 sound. Has a real dark feel to it like the name promises. Also a touch of progression is heard in this one. Suprisingly the weird array of sounds and obvious bassline give a sense of energy. The first break shatters through the silence and inspires quite a melody to come in. I may be no expert to dark trance, but this piece has a bit of a psy influence. The Arp that plays along the break is a bit to sharp and gets irritating at times. Higher frequencies really do render the track almost unlistenable to (to me at least) If I may say so, thats a weird transition there from one melody to another. The second melody to wet the appetite comes in and completely throw me off,but at the same time theres something beautiful about this dirty weird mix you got here. Some elements missing would be the lack of actual build up during the break. Weird arrangements seem to do the track justice, but it has some equalizing problems going on.
THE GOOD
Beautiful in its big ol' nasty dirty way.
A true experimental tune
This tune is a monster, very variated and diverse
Weird dark melodies
Creepy feeling
THE FLAW
No real flaws just some qeuing problems and
lacks an actual build-up. The arp synth is a bit
too sharp for my opinion. Some of the track gets it's
flow destroyed when you introduce that odd and weird melody. Although the melody sounds great, I think it would have fit better eased in.
IN THE END
Tune needs some refinements, real fresh and daring, zesty leads.

I agree with adding the word "wierd" to any review associated with this song. By doing so, you are almost obligated to follow it with the word "interesting" promptly. I like the almost natural randomness of this song. To my ears that arp sounded cool, but I am rather used to high pitch, rip your ear out distortion from guitars and the like. If i were rating it 1/10 I would say 6.5-7/10
Hope to hear more! |

I like your percussion a lot. Cow bells I think I hear. :D It's all very industrial sounding.
Bassline is lacking, increase the volume or pick a new instrument.
The arp creates a LOT of tension and does NOT release it well enough! Track is falling apart around 2:45.
The kick drum high pass transitions are great.
3:37 bad transition. This melody is much more tolerable and creates less edginess. 4:30 interesting drop out of the melody, a bit sudden though and unexpected, which is okay. I like the bits after it.
Ending is smooth, but perhaps lay back on the high pass on the kick on the outro since it would make mixing difficult for the DJ.
Cheers, thanks for sharing! |

| Melody spotting is quite nice for the track but the bassline seems not going to match the progression. And the synth in the first half sounds a bit too stressed in high freq and the whole track lack a mid-trem support. Nice idea on this one tho :D |
