The Djm-800 and 1000 are quite expensive if I remember correctly...
Check www.djdeals.com to see what I mean |

Try searching.
The 3500 has some features the 5000 doesnt have and vice versa.
The 5000 can play 2 tracks from the same cd simultaniously to 2 different ouputs, which is pretty cool, while the 3500 has some nice samplers and a good platter for scratching. Personally i'd go for the 3500.
If you can afford the djm 800 id get the xone 92 for $200 more instead. |

get a look at the denon forums...
www.denondjforums.com
they've got all the gear reviewed and ppl continually discuss it.
I've got the DNX1500 mixer and love it to death. I'm the type who goes with the little guy... Denon deserves business for their recent product releases. You can't deny a piece of gear that they wanna have compete agains the other big companies. |

was gonna start another thread for this but it will work here,
I was thinking about starting to spin on my own, (my roommate is a hiphop DJ and has taught me all the basics and given me lots of time to play around on his stuff) I was thinking picking up a s5000, and using only that and a mixer to start off with, my dj freind says it will work fine, but I thought I would ask what you all think.
If you didn't know the s5000 has the ability to play two tracks off the same cd at the same time, with two independent outputs. I realize this isn't ideal, and will eventually be upgraded, but it seems this would work to get me started at least.
I like the idea becuase it takes up much less space, but I could also pick up 2 cdj200's for about the same price. Mixer will be a Pioneer DJM-707, which I am getting from my freind for like $50.
Anyways what do you guys think? |

| as a matter of fact I completely transformed from vinyl decks to a pair of 3500s without any second thought I chose them over 5000, I noticed people do have trouble choosing one over the other, apparently the alpha track is a crucial feature to have on the 5ks for some but not for me, I'm loving my 3500s... |
