Darude is scheduled to play in Baton Rouge for Dream Factory at a club called Inferno Room. I've been to a few Dream Factory events before and they had a pretty good crowd.

Ha ! I forgot to post the date. It's on a Saturday, March 18th. I believe he's playing at Club Heaven the night before in Los Angeles.

Bumpity Bump.
I know most "clubbers" in Lousiana have their own sites they go to, but I figured there would at least be some TAs in the area. This is kind of sad :(
It should be a real good show and they (http://www.dreamfactoryproductions.org/ ) expect a great turnout and they always have plenty of chics.
Also Darude is a hell of cool guy to meet and he's supposed to be playing lots of new material from his forth coming album.

See ya'll there ???

Well, Just got back from Baton Rouge. Any of you that know my wife and I know that we get around to a lot of shows all over the US.
Musically, this was the best sets I've heard from any dj in a long time. Every single track was great except for some new mix of "it's a fine day." It was actually not bad, I'm just being tough.
Those that didn't go really missed out. And those that are thinking he's just "sandstorm" are really wrong.

Seriously you need to give Darude a chance if you arent familiar with him now. IMO hes up there with Armin & PvD in his dj sets. Really good sets, great mixing, perfect progamming and up to date hot tracks.

Check it out... if you are on TA i dont think you will be dissapointed

;)

*takes a deep breath*

ok ok ok ill check it out. but if i hear cheese from 99 with the exception of sand storm then ill be forced to pierce my eardrums with coffee straws.

i do wanna check out one of his current sets. where abouts could i do that ?

What Kenneth Thomas said is exactly right. No cheese. He spanked Baton Rouge. The energy never let down. With no disrespect to Ferry the other night, Darude was better. I'll say it again, it was the best set we've heard in along time, possibly a little wasted on the Baton Rouge crowd but they responsed well. He did end with Sandstorm, but then it was a mean version of it.
There must be a link to on his website to sets. Also some flyers were passed out that mentioned etn.fm and area 33 on sirius on Thursdays. I don't normally listen to sets via those means so I don't have any more details beyoind that.

..c'mon now..cant be that serious. So your telling me that the sensation, the feeling, was better than in Ferry last weekend? *eyes*..Just look through my list I have in my signature, I think i know whos Good and whos not..now ofcourse everyone has their own taste, But i know party, i know the way it feels. Ferry's event was Sweet, everyone was having a grand time./ but on the flip side..I'll give Darude a chance nextime around..i am alittle surpriced you mentioned (etn.fm) is he spinning set's on their?? i'd like to know.

Kenneth Thomas - whats up buddy, first of all Happy B-day..and a shame that i couldnt go to San Antonio for tha show..:(, but i have confidence yu'll have to come back to Austin sometime soon, cant wait.:) But to you aswell..I'll look into Darude..and i still have that sandstorm video in my old hardrive...i swear i had that before most of the population & before it got Big.:D

Yes, I am saying just that. I have no bias. Yes, it looks you see a lot of shows in the Texas area. I graduated from UT Austin myself. I don't post my agenda, but all my free time/money is spent chasing djs around as my friends put it. Call it desperate or devoted. Ferry, Armin, PVD, Tiesto at least a dozen times each. I don't keep count. Also Second Sun, Nu-Nrg, Cor, Ton TB, Mark Norman, Above and Beyond, Blank and Jones, J00F, Markus, G&D, Eddie, Bossi, etc, etc, all in different cites/countries. These guys are tired of seeing us. Mostly Los Angeles, DC, NYC, Miami and of course Houston and New Orleans. I've only seen Darude 4 times, but just believe me Kenneth Thomas said it exactly right. Darude puts ona good show and what was so cool about it is that he treats it as if he was headlining Trance Energy.

You were not at the show in Baton Rouge. I did see Ferry two nights before in New Orleans and spent a lot of time with him after the show until he went to the hotel, so I wasn't saying what I said out of disrespect to him. Of course it's my opinion. I wish others would speak up. What's sad is that there a lot of people on TA that say things and really don't what they are saying, they are just repeating what they heard. I'm glad you're open to it. Get your local promoters to bring him in, you won't be disappointed. Much better live.

well..everyone has their own way of showing how they have fun..this little list is only limited itself, i mean theres spring break andd stuff but eh../ True that on the "sack riding"..but what can ya do about it, i try to keep it real, but for sure i'll see what i can do to get Darude to swing by Austin. I'm glad that some old dj's still have the skill to keep up with the other more famous ones..i guess all they need is a chance, and i'll give it to them. :D
