Canon Powershot... forget what model # but it's 4.0 megapixels.
most of these photos were shot under the "fast action" setting since i didn't have a tripod and i wanted to make sure they all came out clear. |

| lovely stuff myra. I've noticed all over spain & portugal that there's a lot of cats mainly, portgual also has dogs roaming. The spanish don't midn them esp in tourist resorts as they help keep vermin at bay |

i didn't make it to any parties. i was travelling with a tour group and our schedule was pretty packed every day... not to mention everyone in the group was way older than me so it's not like i could just go off with someone and check out clubs or parties.
i'm saving the partying for next time when i go with my boyfriend. :D

the reason there are so many dogs is because the city of Athens treats them very well. instead of putting them in shelters or killing them, they tag all the dogs and make sure they're healthy, fix the females so they can't reproduce, and then let them run free all over the city. so basically all the dogs belong to the city and even though they don't have homes, people feed them and give them the attention they need.
when i heard that, i just thought it was amazing. i've never been much of a dog person and honestly i've always been kind of scared of big dogs, but every dog that we saw on the streets was soooo friendly and so well-behaved! one of them came up to me and when i started petting him, he toppled over onto his back and i started rubbing his tummy... i seriously felt like i could just cuddle with him. |

i could be wrong... but i believe the entire public transport system was re-vamped for the 2004 Olympics. then again, i've heard that public transportation is pretty clean all over Europe, which makes sense to me since it's more widely used over there than it is in the US.
i have a strange fascination with subways and rail transport, and i'm from NY as well [NY subways = :nervous:]... so seeing sparkly clean metro stations was pretty awesome. |
