And what the is it with Muslims anyways? Some idiot makes a little cartoon labelling them as violent people, and in protest to this, they start burning down flags and embassies. Way to prove the comic right you tards

uh not quite. the cartoon made a depiction of the prophet muhammad which already is a no-no in islam. second, they depicted him with a bomb in his turban. i think you can understand why they're in an uproar. or maybe you don't :wtf:

Yeh, but it's like comparing it to the jewish uproar of many people who saw that Mel Gibson version of Passion Of The Christ and how it shows that jewish decisions led to his death.

It's a movie with one persons thoughts, the same as this situation and the most religious type of people get offended.

You have to also realise that these people pray like 5 times a day, so they are pretty devoted and let it be free speech or a persons opinion, it's bound to cause some uproar to the believers like it did to the jews about the movie.

Just like I said, they're ing nuts. :p

Now seriously, it would be perfectly ok for them to also use their free speech by saying they're disgusted by the cartoons or disgusted by the movie or whatever. It is just not perfectly ok to burn down embassies, make death threats on the authors and even worse: generalizing the entire western world as the authors. It's also completely surreal to see governments supporting these crazy ass points of view. Where are you common sense, please come back!

Of course, all of this would make even less sense if you disregarded the already profound hate many middle eastern people have towards the west, and the differences in wealth and lifestyle. It's a cocktail of lots of hate, a little bit of jealously and lots of desperation/frustration due to having a miserable life. But this shouldn't be used as an end excuse for all of it.. these "anti-cartoon" events have been completely outrageous and in no way should the western world just give in to every stupid demand they might make now to "compensate" the "huge offense perpetrated by the western world".

and dat's whad i think, d00d. :wtf:

The cartoonists drawings were a success.

He labeled muslims as violent, and they proved just that.

Yes, but it was also a very provocative way to "prove" a point...I guess
Sunsnail

It didn't label muslims as violent you fool, it labelled their prophet as a terrorist.

That's open to interpretation. I'm guessing the goal of the author was to make a metaphor on how many muslim people think bombing themselves is what their prophet would have told them to do if he was alive nowaadys.

Blatantly, the people who made all that mess had a different interpretation from mine.

Is terrorism not violent? Is showing the root of the religion as violent not labeling todays religion as violent?

Your not making valid arguements, but rather nit picking at something insignificant and moot.
