Emulators not working

After switching to XP years ago I realised that some of my emulators didnt work anymore.
I have tried running these emulators in compatibility mode, deleting the .ini file... everything
The only one I am worried about at the moment is Nesticle. I want to get that one working.
However, I went to the official Nesticle website and they dont have anything about an XP patch. They don't even have a recent version.
what to do? |

There are lots of emulators out there depending on what system, However, Since your talking about the NES one, There better NES emulators out there, Here are the ones I sugest you try, FCE Ultra, Famtasia, VirtuaNes, RockNES, As well as Nester. |

yeah but which is the best nes emulator? I is after one that can take screenies.
edit: oh yeah and do they all support the same format of ROM?
