Pioneer CDJ-1000 Cleaning Tips

| Anyone have any Im having an emergency and having my cd's skipping and almost sounding like the beats in the track are off..its not the cd and its not me and its not the music on the cd so gotta be the CDJ anyone know how to clean the inside??!:nervous: |

Send it to an authorized Pioneer service center. There's nothing you can or should try doing at home.

yeah this might be very stupid and is probably not the problem:
but have do you have the problem when pitch-control is at 0% or when master tempo is switched off?
I ask because, when you pitch tracks more than 7% with master tempo (pitch lock) turned on, timestretch artifacts start becoming visible and it might in some cases feel like the beats are a little off sync even though only one track is playing
again Im pretty sure that this is not your problem, since its trivial, but you never know :) |

yeah im hoping that the djm800 mixer with its pitch control features puts an end to that MT silliness! |

definitly not what im doing and gotta look for the nearest pioneer service like ryan said |

simple cd player lens cleaner and maybe some compressed air
if it doesn't work, then think about sending it in |

NEGATIVE. READ THE MANUAL, they explicitly say NOT to do this.
Firstly, they are slot loading and you should use those "lens cleaner" B.S. discs in those type of players. Second, CDJ drives are more like CD-ROM drives, they spin VERY fast.
So don't do that :)
