...I hate going out,its scary most times.lol
I'm a pub man mainly,and going through to the city I don't know very well scares the crap outta me,especially when lately whenever I have gone anywhere people want to start on me or some rubbish.
Whats the chances of my night being ruined in Sheffield if I went out? Where is the best place to go where its not infested with chavs or jippo's or large groups of angry lads lol
I'm writing this before I lose the nerve and realise how stupid I am for letting my secret out.lol |

| in sheffield there is gatcrasher one which is getting a bit more upmarket nowadays. less scallies about too to say its gone all commercial |

From personal experience i find the leadmill and plug to have the nicest atmospheres. I personally have never had any trouble (touch wood) in any of the 4 big nightclubs though (crasher, kingdom, plug, leadmill) and i've never been to corperation.
Just use common sense, if you knock into someone apologise and offer to buy them a new drink if they spilt it, don't hit on any girls that look like they might have a boyfriend. You really shouldn't have any problems. I've been clubbing pretty much every week since i was 16 and i've never gotten into a fight at a club, in fact the only fight i have gotten into was in a pub where you feel safer!!
On the street it can be a bit dodgy, my mate got racially attacked walking home from a club about a week ago for example. If you're with a group of mates or getting straight in a taxi you should be completely fine.
EDIT\\ on a more specific trance note, nu crasher is on the first tuesday of every month and you would really really struggle to get into trouble at that :) |

the plug is the safest club in sheffield imo. the sheffield union's ok too. violent types tend to keep away from specialist music nights... no garauntees on bars n chalk/cheese nights though.
under no circumstances would i regard Kingdom as 'safe' |

sheffield is actually one of the safest cities.
however i agree with kinuvan that kingdom is a no go area, along with niche. |

Thanks for the advice guys, I mean to be no puff,but as I aint the hardest of guys and never been rough or owt,I tend to shy away from busy places of a night. |

| yep, niche is defo one to be avoided, also, the adelphi in attercliffe (Uprising) is a bit of a rough one. My friend was thrown through a shop window last week whilst down town because someone hit on his girlfriend! |

i can't imagine you'd have any problems. You'd have to put up with watered down cashcow crasher tho. |

Yeah go for nu-crasher, it's usually a good night. Half decent line-ups, the place doesn't get packed and a pretty friendly atmosphere. I think i'm going to the next one with another TA and you're more than welcome to tag along if you want :) |

Fez Club (although i beleive the name has changed) is also a good night friday and saturday nights, not cheesey music but good house and if im correct (never been on sat) its UG sometimes...im not quite sure about that.
Nu-Crasher on a tuesday is a good night - went to the last one it was good night out. Leadmill(dreadmill)/GC 1 etc all cheesy on the weekend but probably the better clubs to go to.
Agree with others above about Mingdom(kingdom) although friday night is a laugh to see a bit of rowdiness...but keep away.
I went to some nights at Po Na's Na's a few yrs ago - and its been changed for a while now (maybe twice) to something called Sutra...i know nothing about this club...or even if it is one...any ideas?
Also i went to the ahead nights at adelphi, is it really that bad (rough) on friday...saw a flyer the other day sayng its free to get...always debatable but for free im willing to get my friends to give it a go...as i quite like the layout of the club.
Union nights (uni and hallam) are always a good night for cheap booze and a safe environment. |
