But I've heard them all and still have to agree Airwave's remix remains the best! |

that was written a while ago :p
anyway I agree that Airwaves remix is better than the new remixes which are unusually weak. |

in one way i couldn't agree more with you, but then... in a other way there are 200x (fill in a year) remixes that really take a track to another level and make them interesting (again) |

it's awful. it's not what the first rebirth is about. The tune is mad 160bpm hands in the air old style hardtrance. Many of these remixes are watered down or lifeless, turning energy into softness, and for someone like myself who's been there since the first release in 1994, it hurts me. Yves vs Kompressor tries to retain energy, John's remix is very nicely done with just enough of a psych edge to keep it powerful while not being fast. The mainfloor mix from solidslide has the big feeling to it also, but the rest, while they may be good 'trance' in every technical way of the word, don't do the tune justice. I can't expect everyone whos new(ish) to edm to understand this tho as it'll come when you see your fave tunes given the same treatment in 10 yrs time. |

i'm sorry, but these remixes are much more bland and uninspired than the primer remix. at least danjo & styles took a different approach and used different sounds. (although i'll admit that it's a pretty classic uplifting trance track.. i'm just saying that the primer remix is less predictable than the two mixes you mention in terms of sound).
what's the point of a remix anyway if it's in the same vein as the original? |

while I understand your point, I don't agree simply because it's those elements like the sirens or the energy of it all which symbolise the tune itself. It's not meant to be a piece of uplifting modern day trance imo :) |

Fair enough, but like TOR said, what's the point of making so many remixes in the first place if they all sound the same? Each one has it's advantages I think. |
