Ok so if you read my previous thread, I'm just starting out in mixing and plan on doing digital only. I went to a couple of shops today to talk to the sales associates on what options I have for mixers in my price range (i.e. not a lot). I was recommended the Numark DXM06 because it's not too basic and I have room to "expand" with the effects, etc... Or my other choice which was gonna be the Numark DM1002MkII, has changed to the Vestax VMC-002, which has the same features as the Numark but obviously better quality. In your opinion, which should I get or is there something else I should be looking at? I have until mid next week to decide!!!
THANKS! |

my friend was back from australia for the summer, he has a numark dxm06 and he toured all over aus with it for over a year with no complaints, in fact, he said it was probably one of the best mixers he's played on
his stories have convinced me to pick up one for myself and after testing one out, i'm set |

Let's also add the price difference into the debate:
DMX06 = $280CAN + 15% tax
VMC-002 = $179.99CAN + 15% tax |

Are the faders replaceable on the DXM?
Cause the Vestax one has the replaceable/upgradeable option... |

| I have a used DXM06, that was supposedly borked and well, it's not. Everything works just fine and I find it to be a great mixer. Great souns, the knobs feel nice and everything is smooth. Effects are real fun to but when you are just beginning its tough sometimes to stay away from them too much. |

Too much, over $500CAN...
this is confusing!!! But so far I got more recommendations for the DXM06 then anything else! |
