I think people are overreacting at ID&T. I can kind of understand it not being broadcast. They are a business and put a ton of effort and money into the event and want people to go. By broadcasting it, they give the rest of the world a chance to hear it to, but it also might hurt them some in the fact that they are a business that wants to make money and if people can listen at home then why come? and as far as dance-tunes is concerned, it is a subsiderary of ID&T so ID&T will still give you the music if you couldn't go but still wants you to pay for it. They are a business folks and times change. Guess we just have to live without it tonight. It's ty, but hey, maybe they want you to go to the event?
Should it be this way? IMHO NO!
But face the facts, people are using the big event to reel in listeners to their stations. They are a in a "business" as well. They just want listeners. Cest la vie.
We are stuck "buying" our music one way or another. I just hope they don't pull this crap with Sensation. I was actually able to see it with the video streams from last year which was awesome since I'm stuck in the States.
Don't flame me. Just saying we gotta face the music... lol... or lack thereof I guess. |

| Well people will go anyhow to this event, you can't put that into question realistically. The World Cup is broadcast to more people than anything else in the world and tickets are still sold out before the draw is made. They have a good enough line-up that I believe they wouldn't need much more than travelling Germans, Belgians and British people to sell it out (Remember, it's not a million people going to this... and the dutch love Trance). |
