| It's official, Suisse beat Canada 2-0. Props to Gerber for shutting Canada out. |

| ouch, with the loss aside, that was the WORST hockey i've watched in a long time. there was no organization between the canadian players at all. i felt like i was watching amateur hockey. It was always someone crashing the net, and either taking a wild shot, or feeding a misguided pass which resulted in nothing, just to attempt it all over again? wtf? these guys need to practice more and learn to work together a little bit or else we're finished. and i'm seriously hoping to loose my lungs next sunday on yonge street. |

only prelim round but Gerber was outstanding and the "save" was unreal. Who cares if it went over the 'plane'?
Greg Millen's commentary was so lame, going on and on about that goal, ad nauseum. Give the Swiss credit |

i dunno enuff bout snowboarding but can someone explain to me why the US ownz Canada in snowboarding and in the sport in general ?

because the canadian snowboard federation sucks. none of the good riders from canada want to ride in the olympics because of all the rediculous requirements that the canadian snowboard federation has for their athletes. all of canada's good snowboarders are off entering contests and doing things such a filming movie spots, magazine photo shoots etc etc. where the financial rewards and exposure to the snowboard world are far greater than what they would be riding for the CSF and competing in the olympics and all of the crappy FIS competitions.
{EDIT}: The US does not even come close to owning canada in the sport...not even close...both countries are pretty much on par with eachother...the olympic snowboarding structure is rediculous imo. halfpipe, slalom, and boardercross? throw in some slopestyle, maybe some extreme backcountry style events...than you will see all the good riders surface...slalom and boardercross are bunk. |
