interesting choice of titles... i find that i do the same thing. sorry i didnt get back to you on this one sooner, but between the bar, the record shoppe, and djing... well, you understand.
so, i finally got a chance to listen on the way to key west yesterday. i popped it in around islamorada and next thing you know the mix was over and i was in key west.
now for the review: i find i review mixes very differently than other people. i tend to look at the experience as whole, and the emotional or mental journey on which the mix takes me. i was really hypnotised by the rhythmns and drums. and all of your transitions were well placed, well chosen and smooth. there was no joining between two songs that jolted me out of my -somnolent- state.
thanks fo the mix... i have always loved mixes where i never noticed the passage of time.
look forward to listeningto to -submerge- and the next.... |
haha thanks mate. for the name i was looking for a variation of the word hypnotize and i really liked the look of the word "Somnolent". just hit me right. idk. cheers.

Listened to the mix today Metraton, Everyhing is top notch
Transitions are very smooth and some are hard to even notice them.
11. Halcyon - Kiss (Six Senses Remix)
You speed up the party here =), That Build up it's verynice, didn't know this track.
I noticed was from Kiss into Incognition, I think incognition was at lower volume than Kiss, but only something minor, and the last Track I think it didn't fit there, the Transition was great, but the same track Ithink it didn't flow that well witht he overall mix, but that could just be a pesonal opinion.
Anyway, You Are at a Professional Level =)

This is nicely done mix. I still like the other one more than this one.
I wasn't really feeling the first track the few times I have listened to the mix. Perhaps it'll grow on me. But the rest is well done. Can't really say much since others have already covered it.
Good selection of tracks, except for the first one, and that's just because of personal taste. Loving Incognition and Closer. Very good tunes.

yeah the last track is pretty different. it doesn't match the style but i thought it's energy was great to finish off with. and the melody went very well with Close Your Eyes as well. anyway, cheers mate. thanks for the comments and am looking forward to your next. ;) |

lol yeah got it off there too. very good, unique and spirited house-type tune. but if your going by that tune alone then this mix might not be your bag. anyway let me know! |

Thanks for your input mate. Closer is one of my favs as well; and Incognition.. wow what a sexy ch00n! lol :D
Interesting how you like Submerge better, I would've guessed differen't.
The first track is nothing too obscene just had a good driving bassline to get the mix going and also had a melody that causes sort of an anticipation; if you know what i mean. but yeah nothing that is too memorable.
