alright, well since I know I am the only one who really attended this party I feel that I have to be the one to fill you guys in on the night I just experienced!
I have never had more of a high in my life. All completely natural.
Definitely a party of a lifetime!!!
ok, so we left a little later than expected so we didn't get in until about midnight. I was in complete awe. The setup and the vibe itself; completely different than anything you will ever experience in Canada. I have been to large outdoor festivals here in Holland but this was an even better vibe than that imo.
When I walked through the doors at midnight, the photosnapping began. Paul Kalkbrenner was spinning and I was just enjoying the beats and chilling, checking the place out in amazement; thinking how lucky I was to be here on this night.
Mark Broom & Bart Skils were up next, what an amazing set. Nothing like getting the crowd just a rockin. Hard pounding tunes, one right after another. But I was hyped for the next dj...

I was completely and utterly amazed at your performance Philippe. Preach came on with an opening set filled with fireworks exploding throughout the venue and flames coming out of the stage. Being down on the floor at that point in time was the most amazing feeling. The crowd was loving every minute of it and I think it was by far the best entrance of the night by any dj. Your set was bang right on. You had the dutch crowd on their feet and going insane right along with me. There was a group of us upfront that lost our minds when you were playing. We were jumping and bouncing and dancing around. That was the vibe that I loved about it. Pleasing the dutch crowd is a hard thing to do, but not only do I think you pleased them... you DESTROYED them!!!! :crazy:
Thank you to Mazen and Philippe for everything. It was definitely a party I will not forget and Preach.. You are the destroyer!
I cannot wait to see the video you guys took. OMG it is going to be effn insane!!!!!! :p
Umek & Valentino Kanzyani were amazing together. Such a high energy from the two of them. I really enjoyed their set, although during their set I did a lot of wandering around and taking photos and meeting new people as well.
I left Awakenings around 6am (it is almost 8am now) and I am still so hyped about this. I cannot wait to share all the photos and videos with you guys from this party.(uploading now) If you love techno, this is definitely the place you want to be. And after experiencing this and Howells on Friday night, I don't think I am ready to come home on Monday :haha:

well I am finally just waking up here now that it is 4:30pm and the smile is still on my face :)
I knew I would enjoy it too Sarah, but it is just a whole other feeling and you guys definitely need to make a trip even if it is just for a party ;)
I am just going to go check out the website now. Can't wait to see these pics they took :D |

Im not 100% sure but I think I saw an Awakenings flyer with Pioneer as one of the sponsors, could be the reason.
Im really glad you had fun Jenn!Makes me look forward to Preach's Beb set even more.Hope the scavenger hunt is going well;) .Have a blast during the rest of your trip. |
